Hi,

I have the 590B Maxnet package with the @indy username.

After many troubles, finally the connection works with the original router (Huawei SmartAX MT880),

but i can't get it to work with my D-Link (DSL-2640T) which would allow me to connect my computers via Wifi.

Is there any special setting required to connect to MaxNet or what could be the problem?

I'm quite confident that I have entered username and password correctly... :)

thanks,

p.

There's a few settings needed to be done:

Type of connection should be set to PPPoE

VPI should be set to 0

VCI should be set to 33

Username and password, and you should be able to go online.

In my D-link I can go to Status, and click on system log.

There you should be able to see why the connection doesn't work!

A good one should look like this:

Sep 8 12:00:06> Valid Configuration Tree

Sep 8 12:00:11> Firewall NAT service started

Sep 8 12:00:12> Bridge Created: br0

Sep 8 12:00:12> Bridge Interface Added: eth0

Sep 8 12:00:13> pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0

Sep 8 12:00:15> DSL Carrier is down

Sep 8 12:00:25> DSL Carrier is up

Sep 8 12:00:34> Connect: ppp0 {--} nas0

Sep 8 12:00:37> WAN IP address 124.157.223.xx

Sep 8 12:00:37> WAN gateway 124.157.223.1

Sep 8 12:00:37> primary DNS address 202.69.137.137

Sep 8 12:00:37> secondary DNS address 202.69.137.138

Sep 8 12:00:37> PPPoE Connect with IP Address 124.157.223.xx

Sep 8 12:00:37> PPPoE Connection Successfully Established

Sep 8 12:00:37> PPPoE Connect with Gateway IP Address: 124.157.223.1

If you run the Wizard

page 1 is time zone +7

page 2 PPPoE/PPPoA

page 3 name/password/VPI 0/VCI 33 ((or 100 for TRUE and perhaps others))/PPPoE LLC

page 4 enable AP/SSID ((mine Dlink wireless))/Channel ((mine 6))/WPA/any WPA/Group Key Intervel 3600/PSK string ((the key phrase for log onto wireless))

Note above is for TRUE but should work the same for you except for the VCI setting.
