Looking For Bag Manufacturer

Hello everyone,

I'm a expat living in Bangkok and I'm trying to set up my own business. I need to find contacts for material, sewing and bag manufacturers in Thailand. Its a very simple design and doesnt need detailed stitching or heavy materials.

Any help from you guys on this Forum would be highly appreciated!

If that is that simple, why you didn't start the production by yourself?

Buy the needed machines, maybe 2. hand for beginning and the raw materials, both you'll find in Bangkoks China Town. The best palce for that is the Klong Thom Area near Charoen Krung/Worachak for the Raw materials and at the Atsadang Road near to the Sanam Luang the used an new Sewing Machines and required materials.

After that hire a few Thai Girls and you can startup.

And if you manufacture self your products you'll have the best control.

Don't forget to register a Company which will also gives you the opportunity to get a WP!

production is not as easy as many have imagine .. and is far more complex .

not trying to do a sale talk on you ..

but , you can get access to the RAw zip and pin, and thread as well as leather or PVC easily .. and i can point you the way . if you PM me ..

as for porduction itself . you got to look at if it a small design or random make up .. and if it going to need label , as well as hot stamping on PVC or leather , if it on leather you will have a problem as leather have OIL . and alot of the hot stamp don't last , unless you have a special press can that can control the temperature - and then if it going to be hand cut or machine press . nd cutting mold along would cost you about $200 usd .. that is before you invest in a Press machine thart allot you to have perfect cut every time .

then come the sewing part ..

you would need button machine . sewing machine . trim cutter , and also good worker who know how to work with all kinda different raw you use ..

that is not all . there is still color trim as well as silkscreen and all kinda fancy add on ..

Hey everyone, thanks for all your ideas and thoughts. My comments from your posts are:

My plan is to have a large production and thats why I dont want to start production myself, I need a manufacturer.

It's not leather, but thanks for your tips about it.

Basicly I'm planning to use a polyester kind of material and as I said before its a simple design but I would need large quantities hence the need of a proper sewing factory contact that can sub contract capacity to me. Or even better a proper bag manufacturer so that I dont have to buy the material seperately.

My parents have a factory, manufacturing fashion handbags, not a large factory but they've been doing this business for twenty years.
