mzqueenie
I own a Sharp Hiptop3 phone, currently it's locked by my phone company (Telstra, in Australia) and I want to know, whether I can get it unlocked in Thailand? Also to add; the phone uses a different type of network which I'm not sure to connect to the internet etc. Anyway, I used my phone last year in Thailand and had international roaming turned on, which connected to a Thai telecommunication network, I forgot the name! (but surfing the internet worked) and I'm wondering would it work if i get it unlocked by inserting a sim card from thailand, also that enables me to surf the internet on my phone. Need feedback, thanks The only reason why I want it unlocked, because my phone network here charged me a lot for international roaming lol (the bill came at around $800) and to add (hiptop 3 only support GSM) Edited May 30, 2009 by mzqueenie
CosmicSurfer
Take you phone to MBK, Mahboukroung, next to Siam Square. I think it's 3rd or 4th floor... Stop at any of the phone repair booths.. they can do it in 5 minutes.... maybe 2. If your phone is GSM, it will work with any Sim card you buy here... unless it's USA or Canada GSM. It needs to be 1800 or 800 Mghtz in Thailand Easy CS
