Hello my fine friends,

I'm wanting to ship quite a lot of furniture etc back to Jolly old Blighty......... if such a thing exists anymore.

quite a lot of bits, pieces and junk..... however, I would also like to ship a pickup (Vigo worth around 600'000bt) I am aware that I will get stung for this at the other end in VAT I assume (any off the cuff quotes here would be handy too)

I just feel that all would fit into a container nicely and can drift off whilst we get on with more important things like staring at the exchange rates 24 / 7.

Ball park figures this end and the other would be much appreciated........ may be better to sell the car here, not sure.

As far as I'm aware if you've been living abroad, it's your own car and you've owned it for more than six months you don't have to pay VAT/import duties if you're returning to the UK to live. You do have to have it tested to ensure it complies with UK/European standards and I think that costs about £400-500.
