I don't even know if this will be shown on True, but I bet you will be able to find it on Thai channels, a True Sport channel, or ESPN/Star Sports channels. I will be able to watch every match, apparently, on ESPN in the U.S.A.

C'mon, a tournament with Spain and Brazil, what's not to love? Ought to be at least a little interesting.

good to see that sepp blatter is as hypocritical as ever about this tournament.

Sepp Blatter has criticised Confederations Cup organisers for abject

crowd-numbers at the tournament's opening games. "To have half-empty

stadiums is not Fifa," moaned Blatter. "Bring the young people or the

poor people into the stadium [for free], and nobody will be offended

by that."

Cant see the point in this tournament, but thats a good idea from our leader.

i don't necessarily see the point of this tournament either but blatter's talking out of his arse. he's been encouraged numerous times in the past to back free tickets for poorer citizens from FIFA countries and has said no every time only to pass the tickets onto FIFA's corporate partners. FIFA's own commercialism is the reason that there are half-empty stadiums in tournaments.

Yes i cant see how he keeps on getting voted in, surely it'd be in the interest of the 5 major European leagues to stop sponsoring this corrupt idiot and his assocation.

he's a good politician. besides, the clubs have no real sway over FIFA, it's the domestic FAs and regional bodies which comprise FIFA.

USA! USA!

Talk about a big match, maybe nobody cares about Confederations Cup but there's been some good matches, and the U.S. just shocked Spain in the semi-final 2-0. Goals from Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey. Torres was nowhere to be seen and Howard saved many shots, including a fantastic strike from Villa. Sorry to see the Liverpool players lose but for international matches, it has to be the USA for me. Quite happy. Great win. U.S. was lucky to even get in the semis just sneaking in by amount of goals scored as they were tied on goal difference with Italy.

I'm telling you, this Altidore is only 19, he's tall, he's extremely strong, and I think he's the kind of player who could survive in the Premier League (eventually), especially if he improves his ball control. Great young prospect. He's owned by Villareal now but I think he has a bright future. Scoring the first goal versus the number one ranked team in the world doesn't hurt his standing among scouts, that's for sure.

I saw a couple of games

one was spain

the other was south africa

both decent games

what i dont get is.....even though they are the same big name players, why is the excitement subdued with these games? I still cant figure it out.

do you think it has a lot to do with whether or not the tournament is hyped up by the media?

probably more to do that most of these guys would rather be sitting at home around their pools after 10 months of regular football.
