:) Train: 48 baht, 3rd class, 6 hours, departs from Hualamphong to Aran. Then a short tuk tuk ride to the border. 50 bht

Visa fee 1000 bht drinking and eating 100 bht total 1300 bht.

special if your thai girlfriend want to join you on this trip, become mutch cheaper then by visa run companies.

Been there, done that.

For those farangs who like their creature comforts, these trains feature hard wooden seats and no air con.

But the poster would appear to be right as it is the cheapest visa run from the capital.

As of last year, Thais needed visas to go into Cambodia - visa free to the border area only
