Hello all,

I have used this forum many times before to get information about Thailand. Thanks very much to all for their useful posts.

Now I feel it is time to reciprocate. Recently, I married a womderful Thai girl, and now I am in the process of getting her a US K-3 visa so she can visit my family there. In February, I hired a company, (Name Removed) to assist with the visa process.

Please beware of this company! The service has been absolutely terrible - a real nightmare!!! They have really not been helpful at all, and now I am trying to get a refund.

Your feedback is also appreciated.

If you have any issues with the Company Concerned please take it up with them. Thai Visa is not the platform to make allegations. Defamation laws in Thailand are very strict and are rigidly enforced.

Tips when hiring a firm to assist in an immigration matter:

Ask if the person who will be preparing the documents if they are a licensed lawyer in good standing in at least one jurisdiction in the USA.

If so, ask for their licensing state and bar number.

Ask if they are a member of AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association), not being a member of AILA does not mean an otherwise qualified attorney cannot practice US Immigration law, but there are benefits to having the ability to use AILA's resources.

Be very leery of the "Money Back Guarantee"

Beware of any so-called lawyer, attorney, immigration consultant, or visa agent who advises using false statements or dishonesty in dealing with USCIS, NVC, or the US Embassy. NEVER lie to the Embassy or USCIS

As always, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
