Your inlaws will have to apply themselves at the VFS centre here http://www.ukvac-th.com/

If you are sponsoring them you/they will need to provide;

The reason for the trip

Their relationship to you/your wife

A basic itinery of their trip. ie. length of stay, proof of where they will be staying, where they will be visiting etc.

Proof of funds to pay for the trip (the money doesn't have to be in their account)

If they work for an employer a letter from them giving the time off work for the trip and confirming the job will still be there when they return.

And, most importantly, their reason to return to Thailand. This could also include proof of any house/land that they own,returning for their job, etc. If they're rice farmers for example don't book the trip during the rice season, book it before then going back to start preparing the land is a 'good reason for return'.

And finally a good sponsors letter explaining everything.

Good luck.
