livinthailandos
Maybe its just me but a lot of times when I'm just browsing the internet some web pages are faster than others to load and some are slower. Mind you i'm with maxnett primer package 2mbs and even then sites should be quicker, some days i've just resorted to disabling images disabling javascript or use the firefox addon NoScript or for more things I wind up using Link2 on linux for web browsing. A lot of websites I notice tend to have more than 5 scripts or more running and I usually just let NoScript deal with it. Just so the website will load quicker. I can't possibly image using dial up for internet especially now with websites. Feel free to post your input on this matter. Look forward to all your postings on this matter

toptuan
I find Thai websites are the biggest violators of including so many bells and whistles it takes forever to open a page. Some of them look like a carnival-in-action on your screen (animated .gifs, flashing colors, streamers, banners, etc.) In one of my Thai journalism classes I teach one unit of website design and always have to ride the kids to tone down! Something in the Thai psyche that says "more is better" when it comes to all the gadgets!

RKASA
Yes it gets way out of line. Watching the status bar many sites contact as many as 20 other sites when they load. Bandwidth wise its as big a problem as spam ever was. I would bet overall its more then spam.
