Baby Friendly Beach Hotels

Hi all:

As a farther of a very cute (from his father) but at the same time very loud on ocassion (from his mother :) )1 month old boy - I am thinking that the Mrs and I and the little one need to get away for a few days to the beach.

Which brings me to the point of this topic.

Any recommendations for baby friendly beach resorts within a few hours of Bangkok? The kind of place where the guests won't frown at you too much if the kid let's out a howl every now and again?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

James

James,

Do you mind if I bump this as I am also interested, specifically for Pattaya.

I was hoping that, if I visit in August when it is quiter and make the request before hand, that a hotel/resort would let us have a room without having guests next-door. I can imagine few worse things than having a screaming baby in the next room.

my gut feeling that with hotels running at 25% occupancy throughout the land, hotels will go out of their way to ensure we don't disturb their other guest.

James,

I think you dont have to worry in any hotel. We have just returned from a few days in Phuket. Stayed at Surin Beach with my 1 Yr old son. Believe it or not, we shared the entire hotel with another Thai couple. :) . The hotels are death. They even allowed us for a free late checkout at 7pm.

Enjoy the baby it will grow fast !

Not sure what you want so far as extras but try a Thai beach such as Chao Lao beach out of Chanthaburi about 3 1/2hr from Bangkok The room rentals are good priced and the beach is great.

"Talay Deaw Resort"039-69201. Most diff. love kids there

Dolphin Bay resort at Hua Hin is a common one many expat families get away to.

A bit further down the coast is the novotel Chumporn. Huge rooms and a kiddies room, though a bit too old for your young one...

+1 for hua hin, i mean any day over pattaya with kids. Chao Lao sounds interesting as well.

Let us know how it goes and if you manage to find good spot, i'm hanging out here with our 7 weeks old daughter and will need a short break soon before we all go nuts :)
