I wondering where would be the best place in Bangkok to go and find someone to make a simple fold out table for me. I actually want it to be a poker table that folds out for easy storage with about 6 to 8 matching chairs. Anyone know of a good place I could get this made? Preferably cheap and reliable.

I live out near Bang Su and there is a soi about 1km long off Bangkok-Nonthaburi Road (5 minutes in a taxi from BangSu MRT), both sides of the Soi are lined with carpenters making all sorts of quality furniture. Ideal place to get something custom made. sadly I am not sure of the Soi number but as you come onto Bangkok- Nonthaburi Road this Soi is on the left hand side (it is one way and the entrance is at the other end). I will pass it tonight and try and get the Soi number for you, but I think it is near Wat Leab.

I have bought furniture from there in the past, but I sugegst you take a Thai speaker with you as English is in short supply
