Fastest Mail To U.k.

Featured Replies

I need to get a small one page letter to the U.K. as quickly as possible, i.e in 2/3 days. Does anybody have any idea of the best way to send this. It's a small one page letter so it's not a parcel or anything.

I did a search but nothing recent came up for letters, just sending parcels.

I send post to the UK by registered mail, takes approx 5 - 7 days, a couple of times has only took 3 days.

Just send by normal post. Post on the Monday will usually be there by Friday, sometimes earlier. Cost about 28 Baht, I think.

The parcel people will send it for you, just because it is a letter does not mean they won't take it.

Get the post office to send it by plane too. Definately quicker than a boat.

Fed Ex, DHL, all are available here (just check their int'l web pages to find locations) if you need security as well as speed. Letter rates with them are lower than their parcel rates.

How do you do registered mail here? Is it as secure as the west? Tracking numbers, insurance and all that?

Just ask at the Post Office for Registered Mail, a letter should be about 80 Baht.

You will be given a tracking number.

I always pay 20 Baht extra for the signed Reciept of Delivery to be delivered back to me (this is an orange form that you have to fill in and send it stapled to your envelope)
