I'm playing around with the DXO RAW developer which "seems" to handle G10 files a lot better. Early days yet ( 1 day actually) and more tests to go but initial thoughts are favourable. I love the look and feel and usability of the G10 but (up to date) the IQ is disappointing. You should download the free trial and see what your 1D looks like. p.s. And absolutely nothing else. Second image is via Lightroom V2.3 First Image is DXO DXO looks better to me?
