I am here to relay a sad, but serious story about some little puppies that need a home in Bangkok. I do not, in any way, represent any animal rescue or advocacy group in any way. Several weeks ago I witnessed two babies get run over at the same time in my local Tesco Lotus parking lot and nbeen nobody gave a sh*t about what had happened before my eyes. I took the two and gave them a proper burial in my garden and have since been inclined to help the puppies in need around my house. Recently, I came to know two puppies on my street that were sisters, sick and in need of a home. Subsequently, I took them in and proactively sought top-quality medical care for them at Thonglor Pet Hospital in an effort to restore their health and find them a suitable home with preferrably an expat looking for a life-long friend. Luckily within 24 hours of my posting in the Bangkok Post, those two puppies were warmingly welcomed by an American expat looking for two, life-long companions. While I am not religious person, I thank whatever superior being that my possibly be out there that his expat found it in his heart to help in saving the life of two innocent animals that had done nothing wrong in this life but be born. So yeah, emotional me...... but this guy is all A's in my book.

Tonight, as a few friends of mine came to my house, we sat on the balcony and witnessed three puppies down below playing with each other on the street and a taxi driver ran over one puppy, seemingly on purpose, at less that 5 mph. My friend and I immediately ran downstairs and jumped into my car to chase the taxi but it had already dissappeared. In driving down the accident scene, we picked up the dead puppy and gave him a proper burial in my garden... as no one else seemed to give a sh*t about the innocent pup in the first place. In picking up the body, I noticed two, unrelated puppies (one boy and one girl) that ran off into a tipped-over trash bin aside an abandoned house. Immediately we found the two puppies calm but malnourished and I knew that I should try to help them in the same way as I have am doing for these other two puppies (who are still with me getting their medical treatment until their adoptive family picks them up next month). We put them in my car and brought them back home to bath and feed them. They will be staying with me and getting the same medical treatment in the morning as the other puppies and I fully intend on personally supporting their medical costs.. but these two puppies (one month old) need a home and I absolutely must find them a permanent home that is life-long. I would keep them both.. but I already have a house dog and my place is not big enough, nor do I have the time, to give them the life they deserve.

So in turn, I am asking any and all ThaiVisa readers to consider whether they would like to adopt a puppy (I ask nothing other than a reliable and loving owner) and contact me at their earliest convenience. In the morning I will be taking them to the hospital to get them tested and begin whatever treatment necessary. I am not just some guy that wants to give these puppies "relatively good health".... I am a person that intends on giving them the absolute best treatment as if they were my own children. I have attached two pictures of them sleeping in my bedroom hallway, as I type. If anyone is interest in adopting a life-long friend..... I ask you to please PM me personally and I will reply with my email and phone number. Both of them are unrelated but the same age (within a week or two of eachother) and desperately need a home (either seperately or together is perfectly fine). Contact me at your earliest convenience.

Thank you ThaiVisa for allowing this forum to happen and thank you in advance to anyone that is interested. Below are the two pictures:

Careful, you'll end up being the "crazy dog man" :)

All kidding aside, your actions are commendable and I wish you luck in placing these cute little puppies.

UPDATE

The puppies are doing great and are in the best of health. They are nearing 4 months old now and still looking for a home. They are all up-to-date on their vaccinations and get health checkups regularly to make sure their are progressing well. They (Cricket & Mona) are also on an organic, home-made diet that has been extremely beneficial to their development (ie. quality meats, steamed vegetables, fruit slices, rolled oats and brown rice.. along with fish and olive oil). Their coats are beautiful and they are almost finished with their house training. They love playing around outside, but they spend most of their time running around inside the house and they even sleep with us on the bed.

We are still looking for a home for them and hoping that we can find a loving expat with a good house to add them to his/her family. They are still too young to be sprayed and neutered, but I will take care of that out of my own pocket before they get adopted or become of age (whichever comes first).

An adoption poster is attached to this posting in PDF format. It contains their pictures and details in both Thai and English.

FINAL UPDATE

Great news! There were some great families that came to visit Cricket & Mona over the last few days and we have finally found them both just the type of home that we were looking for. A lovely couple from the UK, we will called them Ms. J & Mr. A, are going to be the new parents to Cricket & Mona. Thank you for all the support from ThaiVisa members and keep your eyes peeled for more rescued puppies for adoption because I know of many more out there!
