searching the net this afternoon pantipmarket.com had monkey free to good home so i fired off an email and below is the respnse.. a blatant nigerian scam   ENJOY

Hello,

Thanks for the mail and your interest toward my lovely babies. They

are male and female,11weeks 2days old. They are champion bloodline,

registered, vet check , dna tested..well tamed and potty

trained, good associate of kids and other house hold pets also simple

to learn. To begin I will start asking you some questions.

-Are you a breeder?

-Do you have kids?

-Are use to monkey?

-Are you sure that you are going to take care of any of my babies?

-Gift me a Brief Description about your Environment?

-Do you have a vet doctor?

-Were Exactly are you located? i am giving out them for free

since they were owned and taken care of by my late daughter whom i

lost to a drunk driver two weeks ago.due to the mobile nature of my

work since i work with EDICEF,i have relocated

to Belfast and now i am in seminar that would last for

3months and it will not be possible for Mr to take

proper care of the monkeys which was a sole responsibility of my late

daughter. They really do remind me of her sad memories all the time i

look at them and hurts deeply.. So, my greatest desire is to find

someone who can properly take care of the monkeys and if you can i

will be so grateful, i can arrange for delivery if you cannot come

right up here for the

pick... Delivery am sure will be moderate since we spent just just too

little bringing the monkeys up here. If this is ok by you, i will

immediately need the following details in order to drop off the

monkeys as soon as possible at the delivery agency so that delivery

can be done to your home soonest..

Names in full...................

Home address................

City/Town.....................

...

Mobile number..............

Land line number.............

Postal code...................

Be reminded that these monkeys are for free and all you will have to

do is to pay £150 only for the delivery of each of the monkeys to the

delivery agency which will deliver the monkeys to your home.My prayer

is that you love and care for these monkeys just as my daughter did and i

will be always great-full to you if you should.Do let me know if all

is fine.07023050690

I'm familiar with a similar scam. A few days ago I discovered a bag full of four capuchin monkies in a plastic bag on my door handle. I thought it was a free promotion, so brought them in to my apartment. The next day I got a knock on the door, and was presented with a bill for 8000 baht!

Definitely not a scammer.

Judging by the spelling errors, this can only be a ThaiVisa member.

Potty trained, dna tested? They go a little overboard describing the babies. Anyone who would want to have one of these dreadful creatures deserves to be ripped off.

No, they were a promotion, a monkey free with each bottle of Yakult.

Sounds like you got rippeed off on the price of the Yakult though.

Cute one. At least, a monkey-story is more entertaining than the usual political refugee stuff.

This thread is a candidate for the Pulitzer award :)

Advise to DP25: send the guys to the other monk(ey)s

Monkeys are extremely nutritious. It is proven that they can survive the passage through the stomach to the intestinal tract, where they are very beneficial to your digestion. I often have one on top of a bowl of cornflakes as a healthier alternative to milk.

Just goes to show Guys und Gals - the recession has hit even the entrepreneurs of W Africa - just yesterday I received a $49m scam letter from London - thats not in the UK anymore - asking me to participate?!

At least they dont perceive moi as being cheap - I simply hate when that happens.
