Job Description

• The position is forced on developing opportunities for (XXX) Company in the Gas, Oil & Chemical Business in Asia/Australasia Region.

• The position reports to the Asian Director of Sales & Business Development for (XXX) Company

• The position requires an experienced Business Development Professional with an appreciation and understanding of the Exploration & Production business in Asia, including experience with one of the following: an oil & gas operating company, oil & gas services company, or and oil & gas engineering, procurement and construction company.

• A knowledge of the mid-stream gas processing, and treating business as well as the LNG liquefaction and LNG terminal business is preferred.

• Individual would preferably be based in Bangkok, Thailand but would consider a permanent location in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong or Jakarta, depending upon the level of experience of the candidate.

• Individual should have a minimum of ten years of oil & gas experience, and be willing to be trained directly by the Director of Sales & Business Development.

• Individual will need to be of an extrovert of polished appearance and be a good communicator, with the ability to make presentations to various levels of (XXX) Company’s Management

• The individual will need to appreciate and engage in the bidding process for engineering services, including: Front End Engineering packages, Engineering & Procurement packages as well as full scale EPC bids.

• A knowledge of the bidding cycle and its individual required phases, including the knowledge to respond to: Solicitations of Interest; Pre-Qualification requests; Requests for Proposals / Invitations to Tender / Invitations to Tender.

• Individual will coordinate his proposal activities with both Asia Region personnel and U.S. headquarters and will work with an integrated multi-disciplined Team including technical and commercial experts.

• Must be willing to travel to typical oil and gas cities such as Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

• A willingness to learn, be energetic and demonstrate a positive attitude are critical qualities.

• An engineering, oil & gas operations, Petroleum negotiator/Petroleum Landman Background are all acceptable educational backgrounds. An advanced degree in business, or engineering would be a plus.
