Syching I Pod Nano

Featured Replies

Greetings all. A friend has just bought an I pod nano. As he does not have a computer he asked if I could put some of my music on it for him. No bother says I. I down loaded I tunes and installed it but the sync I pod selection is greyed out and it wont connect to my computer and I cannot see it in my computer section. Am I missing something ? I connect the I pod and switch it on but nothing happens. The last time I did this it asked if I wanted to sync as soon as I connected it though it was an older model. Any help would be appreciated, Cheers Dunc :)

Try resetting it. That usually solves this kind of problem.

To reset: pres and hold at the same time in the center and the bottom :/

The iTunes should start auto after plugin the ipod.

I Have re set the Nano and plugged it back in but still zero ? I have a sneaking suspicion that it is a copy Nano as the build quality and feel are not up to the usual Apple standards . Anything else I can try. I did re install i tunes to make sure it wasn't that and the down load came from Apple so should be OK. Cheers again Dunc :)

Try a different USB port or a different cable (cheap cables are often the source of such problems). If it's a Nano copy, you might also find some useful info on this site.
