Ice Hockey Options In Bangkok?

I have a friend who is thinking of moving to Bangkok for work, and was wondering if there is any place to play any kind of ice hockey, be it an organized league, pick-up groups, etc.

Does anyone have any idea?

There are pick-up games at the arena in Imperial Lad Prao a couple times per week.

There is a rink at Imperial SAMRONG too and I remember there have been games there.

though, I haven't been to that Mall since more than 4 years or so..... best idea would be to go there and inquire in person.

There's some league that the Bangkok Post even reports on sometimes, and has a pretty high level of competition. I met one of the guys who was really a big part of it, and they played at Central World in the ice rink at the top late at night. Occasionally if I was there around closing time of the mall I'd see some white dude walking in with hockey gear. I don't know about contacts but a start would be to go up to that rink and see if anybody knew about it. Search around the forum, here, though, as I've seen topics about it before and it appeared some posters were players.

They are (or used to be) one of the teams in a 6-team league in Bangkok.
