GarryP
ปลากด (Pla Got in Thai) Sometimes known as sheatfish and under various catfish names. Genus Pangasius. Love really smelly bait and fast running water. Edited June 24, 2009 by GarryP
IanForbes
Yes, some of the fast water, native species can get quite large and they can be caught on flies.
GarryP
That is a real nice one. Would never have belived you could catch one on a fly if I had not seen your pictures.
IanForbes
That is a real nice one. Would never have belived you could catch one on a fly if I had not seen your pictures. There was a male and a female on what we think might have been a "nest" in the river and Jon tried several flies before he found one that worked. Then he caught both fish in short order. He released both of them unharmed. The big one fought as hard as any steelhead I've hooked.
