Me too... But, over the past 10 years I've 'devolved' down from a 'real bike' to a step-through scooter... A real bike is just impractical in BKK... but one think I noticed was my visibility - On a real bike, wearing proper kit, I was visible to other road users.... other motorbikes gave me more space, cars gave me space etc... ... Almost as if they knew I wasn't some 'worthless Somchai on a click' (no disrespect meant there just a descriptor), but on a real-bike (bigger) with kit - I suspect the drivers of other vehicles subconsciously 'noticed' someone of 'position' (i.e. sufficient to have a better bike etc)... though that could have been my own bias... I've noticed the same when driving very expensive, vs cheap smaller cars.... Now I have a scooter (step through style motorcycle for the pedantic) and mostly use it for very local journeys... its too hot and the car is just too comfortable - I don't care if it takes me twice as long in the car anymore... -
