Micro 4/3 Cameras Initially Micro 4/3 cameras are all evil digital SLRs, BUT evil digital SLRs that can take an incredible amount of lenses via adapters, most importantly LEICA M and LEICA SCREW MOUNT LENSES, not to mention Canon FD, Olympus Pen F, and even classic Contax/Nikon Rangefinder lenses! The Micro 4/3 forum is here at RFF because via adapters Micro 4/3 SLRs offer an inexpensive way to use rangefinder lenses on digital cameras. Not everyone wants to spend $6500 for a Leica M8.2, $4500 for a Leica M8, or even $1600 for a used Epson RD1 in order to use their Leica lenses on a digital body. Using Leica M or screw mount lenses on a relatively inexpensive digital body is a big deal. Who knows, in time we might see a Micro 4/3 rangefinder in Leica M mount. Take note the Micro 4/3 format is NOT the same format as 4/3! Also take note the Micro 4/3 SLR cameras (even if a EVIL Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens camera) can use standard Leica M lenses and still focus to infinity. In SLR terms, the adaptability of the Micro 4/3 cameras is also a big deal.

Title should have read Olympus EP-1 Pen F

Now that's interesting as I can use (via adaptors) my Contax G2 glass - 21mm, 28mm, 45mm and 90mm.

Might be the next in the stable! :)

BUT, would I need a specific adaptor per each lens to obtain the correct FOV or would one adaptor suffice?

Anybody know?

Isn't it one adaptor per mount type?

Should work just as well on the Lumix G series.

Must have had a blank moment there as I've just realised that my lenses don't have a focus ring so that won't work!

Interesting little camera though and the original early Olympus prime lenses which will fit are legendary in the colour and sharpness and soooooo cheap now on Ebay.
