I'm currently in the process of setting up a company. I'm still however employed by another company and will continue to be employed by them even after I start my own company.

The structure of the new company is that I will be the Director. I will not actually be working in that company but will b signing the odd cheque for expenses related to the company. The new company will employ 1-2 Thai staff and they will be directed by me.

My question is; will I need a WP just for being the Director of that company?

if I need a WP for the new company, can I still keep my existing WP i.e. can I have 2 WP's?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

In what capacity are you employed by the other company ?

In your own company you will be a Director but the company is still yours and you are employing staff , Also you state you will be directing your staff and signing cheques etc, to me that equates to Working. So I would presume you would need a WP.

As for the work permit you have with the other Employer , that ceases when you finish working for them. A new one would be needed to work elsewhere.
