2 Wp And Director Needing A Wp?

I'm currently in the process of setting up a company. I'm still however employed by another company and will continue to be employed by them even after I start my own company.

The structure of the new company is that I will be the Director. I will not actually be working in that company but will b signing the odd cheque for expenses related to the company. The new company will employ 1-2 Thai staff and they will be directed by me.

My question is; will I need a WP just for being the Director of that company?

if I need a WP for the new company, can I still keep my existing WP i.e. can I have 2 WP's?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You are supposed to add your company to your current work permit. WPs are place specific and not a general permit for working anywhere.

Yes, because you will be signing documents for the company whilst you are in Thailand, as you said.

Your second employer has to be added to your existing work permit book, as mentioned by oldtimer. You need your first employer’s consent for this.

What if your 2 jobs are in different provinces, say, Bangkok and Cha-am?

Can you add the second job to your original booklet (if first permit is in Bangkok)?
