ssinlos
I'm currently in the process of setting up a company. I'm still however employed by another company and will continue to be employed by them even after I start my own company. The structure of the new company is that I will be the Director. I will not actually be working in that company but will b signing the odd cheque for expenses related to the company. The new company will employ 1-2 Thai staff and they will be directed by me. My question is; will I need a WP just for being the Director of that company? if I need a WP for the new company, can I still keep my existing WP i.e. can I have 2 WP's? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
oldtimer
You are supposed to add your company to your current work permit. WPs are place specific and not a general permit for working anywhere.

Yes, because you will be signing documents for the company whilst you are in Thailand, as you said. ...if I need a WP for the new company, can I still keep my existing WP i.e. can I have 2 WP's? ... Your second employer has to be added to your existing work permit book, as mentioned by oldtimer. You need your first employer’s consent for this. -- Maestro
junkofdavid2
What if your 2 jobs are in different provinces, say, Bangkok and Cha-am? Can you add the second job to your original booklet (if first permit is in Bangkok)?
