Hi all, i came to thailand on a 3x2 months turists visa, after each run to cambodia i got an extention 1 month. I have now been to cambodia 2 times and need to get a one months extention 8. july, after ending my last 2 months stay ! however and unknown to me, offices are closed until 9. july!!

i have just ended my 3rd entry and need a 1 month extention, am i sure to get these 30 days ?? will i be charged overstay when i come to immigration in jomtien 1 day too late?? does arriving at immigration 1 day too late have any consequences ??

hoping to get response, thanks, Erik

For future reference you don't have to wait until your stay is nearly expired before getting your extension. It doesn't matter when you go to immigration your extension will run from the end of your current stay :)

Meanwhile to address the current issue, go to immigration on the 9th suitably attired and with plenty of humility, I expect you'll score an extension without any penalty :D

Not sure what they will do, but you are courting trouble by being late.

Better to get there before the stamp in your passport expires.

It happened to me once, and because the expiry date was a public holiday, they did not ask any questions and just extended my visa.

Good luck.
