The Mayan predicted the end of the world in December 2012. Mayans are talking about a " Polar " change, so could this allready be on it's way? That's why the climate and sea levels are changing? pampal
Instead of sinking, the word subsidence should be used. Alot of cities have this problem although for different reasons. http://science.jrank.org/pages/6564/Subsid...subsidence.html One part of Los Angeles experienced 9 meters of subsidence due to removal of fossil fuels. What about New Orleans? What about Venice? What about Amsterdam? What about....oh forget it. It's like talking to Chicken Little. The reason that BKK etc are not underwater yet due to Polar ice melt is that almost all the ice that melts during the summer is sea ice and thus has negligible effect on sea level. Bankokians will have to start worrying when or if the melting of glacial ice accelerates as predicted and is already being observed in many studies.
