toastwars
I want to set up a league table of crackdown effectivness, I think the ratings will be very low in all honesty. A crackdown here usually involves one token arrest and a lot of colum inches then dies out pretty quickly. Todays crackdown is food toxin levels, I shall keep my eye open for it's falure in the near future

LadyinRed
The crackdown of not selling alcohol between 2-5pm seemed to be working in Central in Phuket. Not only did a uniformed guard came (after my squabbling with the cashier for a 2 minutes extended period) and took away the half dozen of liquid gold, he even shut the transparent plastic canvas on the beer shelves, right in front of me! BOOOO HOOOOOO
