I want to set up a league table of crackdown effectivness, I think the ratings will be very low in all honesty. A crackdown here usually involves one token arrest and a lot of colum inches then dies out pretty quickly. Todays crackdown is food toxin levels, I shall keep my eye open for it's falure in the near future :o

The crackdown of not selling alcohol between 2-5pm seemed to be working in Central in Phuket.

Not only did a uniformed guard came (after my squabbling with the cashier for a 2 minutes extended period) and took away the half dozen of liquid gold, he even shut the transparent plastic canvas on the beer shelves, right in front of me!

BOOOO HOOOOOO

:o

I'm well under 10 litres. No one was allowed to buy anything alcholic, not even a bottle of SPY.

Sorry, you misunderstood me... what I meant was you are allowed to buy if you are buying quantities GREATER than 10 litres. :D

lets see what we can do with a few of these:

Narathiwat voter crackdown: Did they find out that some votes had actually been cast in favour of TRT?

Ko-pha-ngan speedboats: dunno anyone been down there recently? I susspect they are still packing in the drug addled and drunk like sardines

Sexually explicit advertising + Net Porn + pornornography....Has anyone been to the first floor of Pantip plaza lately? a resounding non crackdown crackdown

Chang Mai crime crackdown: bwahahahahahaa!!

Phuket fakes crackdown: another hearty Bwahahahaahaa!!!

Logging crackdown: I mean all you have to do is get down to each areas forestry department and take a look in the car park, takes about 5 mins to catch the perps

Second drug crackdown: make sure you are not even carryig asprin, or you will become another dead drug dealer

the rest I will work on for the weekly round up

laters

Well, they've cracked down on 'inappropriate' television content, or say they will. One of the dating shows has ben catching ###### as being on at the wrong time of day as it makes a bad impression for youngster, or I think that was the argument. Blood letting and such, full-speed ahead. :o
