I bought a Turquoise Conure & a Firey-Shouldered conure this week @ SL2.

The Turq is a little agresssive to the Firey.... the opposite to what I've read about Fireys!

Breeder had a very friendly Hahns Macaw for sale, 2 inches taller than the Conures.

I'm tempted! :)

All 3 are 3-4 months old. Beautiful birds.

Dunno much about Hahns. Noisey?post-53559-1260992052_thumb.jpg

Nice to hear of the additions to your family!

We will be getting in a car in January, and then intend to head out to SL2 and start looking.

Are the bird folks out there somewhat knowledgeable. I agree with your assessment about Chautchak...so dirty...and they couldn't even tell me the species of conure I was looking at.

JPP Pets is the largest Conure dealer / breeder in Thailand....... he's also a plick!

He certainly knows his Conures but hasn't a clue how to treat customers.

Anxious to sell unweaned birds to anyone....

He wouldn't last 5 minutes in the West.

Look for the Thai with a "pencil thin moustache"... (*jimmy buffet) :)

He only mans his hole in the wall on Sat, Sun & public hols

Prepare for a shock, there's a guy with about 20 smuggled African Greys for sale.

I was told that they arrived by ship, so, imagine how many wild Greys died enroute to Thailand from Cameroon or wherever in Africa.

They are in cages on the back wall, clinging to the rear of the cages and all growling and hissing.

He must have bought them from Customs (after quarantine? I hope so!)

Someone was asking about Canaries awhile back, I saw loads this week in the pet bird section.

Did you ever find Birdland, in central BKK?

I went to SL2 yesterday, Saturday, & 'JPP Pet Birds' hole in the wall was shuttered, very unusual. :)

Suggest you don't leave home without checking his whereabouts first.

You can call him on 081 880 3530 It's his public / advertised number.
