Taking Thai Wife To A Greek Island

Featured Replies

Hi fellow visa members, Hope you're all well. Wifey and I here in the uk. Wifey has indefinitie leave to remain in the uk stamped in her Thai passport. Thinking about going on hols to a Greek Island, just for a week or two. Can she travel, or will she need a greek visa?

Also, considering you're such a knowledgable, well travelled lot. Any of you know any little hideways off the Rhodes, Crete, Corfu tourist track? I hear there are many secret paradises in and around the greek islands, go on spill the beans!Thanx in advance for feedback guys n' gals. :o

Reguards Siamsam.

She will need a Greek visa, because the UK is not part of the Schengen group of countries (you would not need a new visa to travel between Greece and other Schengen states).

PS: Santorini is lovely, but definitely ON the beaten tourist track.

We loved Paxos but you have to be in love. If you fall out you can always take a ferry to Corfu. :o

When living in the UK with my Thai wife, I decided a holiday in Spain would be nice. We went to the Spanish Embassy in Manchester, To find it was nearly as difficult for her to obtain a visa for Spain as it was for the UK. We went to Scotland instead. :o
