July 14, 200916 yr Could anyone help me with a book recommendation for final year kinder gardten teaching Maths & Science? Thanks.
July 15, 200916 yr I am assuming you are talking about KG 3 students. A lot of schools don't use a regular textbook for these classes, although hopefully someone who does will respond. At our school, the booklets are put together by the teachers. Are you at a regular Thai school, an EP program, mini-English, international or bilingual school? This would make a difference in the students ability.

I can't really tell you anything more as I'm posting on behalf of a colleague who doesn't really use the forums. He's busy phoning round shops & calling other teachers etc.
July 15, 200916 yr OK, thanks. Hopefully someone will be able to answer this question. I'll try and check with our KG department tomorrow, but I think for math and science they use homemade books that have been compiled over the years from worksheets etc. A lot of it is simple vocabulary, as I recall.
July 17, 200916 yr I teach Science to older students - grades 4 & 5 - and even at that level it's mostly vocabulary & simple concepts. For Science Day last year I asked the teachers from K3 to ป3 what they taught their kids. Here are some of the topics: The senses (what your nose, eyes, etc, do) Instruments (rulers, scales, etc.) - this can include units of measurement and how to use them. Tastes (salty, bitter, etc.) Living and non-living things. Animals : What do they eat, how do they move, what are their babies called.
