Proxy server

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm a bit new to this so forgive me if I seem a bit daft.

Need some help on using a proxy server I found on the net. It's called Multiproxy. It sounded really good so I downloaded it and configured my browser they way it said. But when I try to connect using my dial-up connection to loxinfo I get rejected. i.e. pasword and user name incorrect. If i try double-clicking on the proxy icon on my desktop before dialling up a dialogue box appears and tells me I am not connected, which is pretty flippin obvious. There's nothing wrong with my dial up connection because as soon as I reconfigure my browser to its original state i.e. remove multiproxy information, everything's fine. Any suggestions?

tell me where I can download it and I will check what happend.

It sound only like a misconfiguration, I mean :

1) we are not connected to internet directly, but only to our ISP network, this is the ISP who is connected to internet. I tmean, you must first be logged in the ISP network, for that the direct connection is required.

2)When logged, you will just ask you ISP you would like to go only in one place : the proxy cache. At this time you must use Multiproxy.

If you use Multiproxi to be connected to your ISP, that will never work.

you MUST not change your connection parameter to Loxinfo.

I will check it today and let you know

back

I downloaded it from this adress http://www.multiproxy.org/help.htm

and followe the instructions, well always the same, and it work well.

you just have to follow what they wrote, and all will be fine
