I am trying to download some YouTube videos on to my Mac running Firefox 3.0.11 , and play on the VLC player , ive tried several ways , but when I come to play the downloaded video on the VLC player I keep getting this error ..

Can any one suggest a simple and fool proof way of downloading YouTube videos , and watching them on a Mac

You can use Safari Stand with Safari. Play or pause/download the video in Safari window, right click and it allows you to ave to your downloads folder. eay and quick, and works on all the videos where separate downloaders work.

Try Tubesock. You have to pay for the application but it works with no problems for youtube straight to itunes.
