July 23, 200916 yr As supporters of exiled former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra are busily preparing celebrations for his 60th birthday this Sunday, a campaign has started in cyberspace for people to wear black on that day as a gesture of protest against the celebrations. The campaign was started by a twitter message. It's not known who started it, but it has spread like wild fire in cyberspace. I did not receive the message myself, but learned about it from an article in Thursday’s Manager newspaper by Anchalee Paireerat. However, a colleague of mine admitted she had received the message, but the sender was not identified. continued -- Bangkok Post 23/07/09 http://www.bangkokpost.com/opinion/opinion...paign-under-way

July 24, 200916 yr More than half of my clothes are black and I live in Chiang Mai. I need to know how long this latest stupidity will last. I prefer not to support any on the fashion related political posturing in this country. But I am running out of colors to choose.

How about a no shirt movement, we can express neutrality by not wearing a shirt at all.
July 24, 200916 yr dammit. My ex g/f threw out all my black clothes from my punk/new wave clothing phase. Ok, true, I probably couldn't fit in some of those things now, but had I known that black was in again, I'd never have let her go Martha Stewart on me.
July 24, 200916 yr Whomever knows for a fact what will be the next color, might have a head start, and can make a fortune in t-shirts.
