If anyone can tell me where in Chiang Mai I could pick up some corn syrup for baking purposes, it would make me very happy. (Tried Bakermart but no luck.) Many thanks.

My ex housekeeper bought me some "glucose syrup), not sure what it is made of but suspect its corn syrup. I used it to make candy and it worked fine. The consistency is thicker so you need to dilute it with water. I do not know where she bought it specifically but it was at the fresh market. Next time I see her I will ask and post where it can be bought.

Maple syrup is available at Rimping on the corner of the middle ring road and the road to Mae Jo. Just saw it there last week.

Maple syrup is also available at Tops and Kasem store. For any specific items like corn syrup, you could ask Kasems and if it is available they are more than obliging to obtain it for you.

The Rimping market in San Sai has had Karo brand corn syrup in the past. I have not looked recently, but any Rimping in CM would be a good bet.

Rimping sells it. Bakermart sells it but they are out of stock. Kasems store sells it.

Thanks, all. Got it at Kasem. Unlabelled, honey jar size for 62 baht.
