THAI belatedly announce two offers for frequent travelers

By John Le Fevre

BANGKOK (thaivisa.com): -- Thailand’s national carrier, Thai Airways International (THAI), have announced two new promotion packages for its Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) frequent flyer members.

The first offer enables ROP members to purchase a ticket to any destination on the THAI international network and redeem a THAI award ticket for an accompanying passenger at half the mileage points ordinarily necessary for the journey.

Tickets must be issued in Thailand and flights must originate in Bangkok prior to September 30.

The second promotional offer allows an ROP member to redeem one THAI award ticket for travel on any THAI domestic or international route and receive a complimentary second ticket for an accompanying guest.

Bookings for the Buy One, Redeem One at 50 percent promotion can be made between July 1 and September 30, while the Redeem One, Fly Two promotion began accepting bookings on July 15 and continue through until September 30.

Both offers are for round-trip travel only and all travel must be completed by October 31, 2009, and do not include surcharges, taxes and the like.

what do you mean belatedly? this offer has been on sale to AMEX card holders for a while.

Absolutely, I booked via this offer nearly three weeks ago, and it's been in the Bangkok Post for a couple of weeks.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Not every ROP member has an Amex card. In fact does anyone have an Amex card now?? Haven't seen one for a long time now.
