I have my reasons for being here.

And they weren't/aren't to look at temples

But I don't have my head in the sand (or somewhere else) And if I see something that appals me I will (as I said) state it like it is.

I am not suggesting that your knowledge of the realm is in any way related to the fact you only joined up a couple of weeks ago (when I first came here there was no such thing as TV)

It doesn't matter whether I like something or detest it I not gonna pack up and run.

And as for being a drama queen, well, far be it for me to suggest that you are a chok wow

I've been here for 20 years - still enjoying it. In fact, I'm thinking of staying.

There are far fewer problems here than in most countries in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Well I guess to be honest that when all was said and done, it wasn't really intended to be flattering

Who are these people with their head in the hand - the people who recognise that Thailand has problems like everywhere else, but don't go round telling people to 'avoid the place like the plague'? Those that don't have 'thousands' of reasons for telling people to stay away?

And , if I have my head in the sand (which I don't) at least it would be better than having my head in my hands.
