Have You Ever Ended A Relationship With A Negative Person?

Featured Replies

I've taken stock and realised that I have/had a few people in my life that are/were having a very detrimental effect on my happiness/wellbeing here, in the UK. Although I am in the process of creating distance between myself and the personalities I no longer feel in tune with, I can't help but feel that a "smudge" has been left on me.

"Self - help" Books etc emphise the need for forgiveness and interestingly I recently read that once you have a significant relationship with somebody you will alaways have a relationship with that person, at least on the inside, so it's best to see them in a positive light and send them good vibrations.

Any members find themselves in a similar situation in Thailand/Homecountry? How did you deal with it?

NOTE I am not talking about "bad" people just people I'm no longer in tune and/or have a negative effect on me, my goals, hopes, dreams, aspirations and joy of living.

Other "self help" books will tell you to only mix with the people who are like how you want to be, over time you will start to become like those you mix with.

I've tried to end my relationship with several of the red shirt Thaksinistas on TV, but they keep finding new ways to annoy me. :)

While i abhor 'self help' books,i agree.

I had quite a few "important" break ups,and i realize that, whilst "sending good vibrations" seems fair,it's better avoid contacts with the persons we have nothing more to share with.

Look into the future and get rid of emotional burden :)

Do multiple ex wives fit into this scenario? The term ex should answer your "how did you deal with it?"

As this has nothing to do with Thailand.

:)
