Today I was able to book a flight for November '09 on Cebu Pacific from BKK to CRK (Clark) on their website using a Visa credit card from the USA.

Last January I tried doing this and the website would not accept my card. I discovered from reading online that this was a common problem.

It looks like they have finally corrected the problem. I did call my credit card company before booking to warn them a charge was coming through and that they should not decline it if indeed the problem was on the credit card end instead of Cebu Pacific. At any rate, the charge was accepted and CP confirmed the purchase.

A one-way ticket BKK to CRK Clark including all taxes and fees was Bt3,912 including a Bt150 charge for an assigned seat. Depart BKK at 15:25 arrive CRK 19:40. Return schedule is CRK 12:20 arrive BKK 14:35.

Unfortunately any kind of service, re-booking, refund etc. is either none-existent or a total rip-off! I avoid if I can to fly with them. Have been screwed several times, so have many friends.... DD

Cebu pacific went through a period where they would not accept any bookings online with foreign credit cards, the only way to book was by phone and then send them copies of your card, this was very painful.

A couple of months later they solved the problem and since then it has worked consistently with no issues.

Johnlexo is correct in that if you change your plans and want a refund then don't expect to ever get it because it simply wont happen. I have changed flight dates with them without too much trouble although nobody seems to actually know the rules and I have actually gotten away with the extra charge a couple of times because I was supposed to pay at the airport and they never asked me for the money when I checked in.

They are a budget airline, they are ok for what they are so only fly with them if you are quite sure of your itinerary and are not likely to cancel or make changes.

I hope that includes Canadian cards as well. Had a terrible time trying book during their Christmas promotion last year. My card wouldn't work and I even called my bank to find out if it was at their end, but it was Cebu. I used a Thai friend's credit card and brought a copy of it hoping that would be enough. In the end they didn't ask to see it, and I got my round trip to Clark for 1190baht! I was quite happy with the service, it was a new plane and friendly staff.

I did email them a few times to see what the story was but never got a reply.

Make sure if you book with them you have a return ticket with them or an onward ticket, or you might not be going anywhere.
