Amazon ships only books to Thailand - no electronics.

I also know macsales - they ship to Thailand if you jump through a few hoops (send them a copy of your passport). But their selection is rather limited.

Just found span.com, a UK based store with very good prices. They claim to ship to Thailand, but then the shipping costs were ridiculously high, not sure if they can be taken seriously. The cheapest was $19, the express options were $135 and $180 for a 2.5" hard drive?!

I used tohome.com they are based in Bangkok and support online ordering via credit card. They shipped my Acer netbook to me in Koh Samui within three days via TNT, courier cost 500baht, everything went smoothly.

Have you looked at Aramex shop&ship (http://www.aramex.com) They provide you with a PO Box in the US and the UK, and then anything sent to that PO Box is forwarded to your proper address world wide.

This means you can buy from any supplier without worrying about international shipping.

I have not used them for Thailand, but when in Dubai I heard good reports about their service

SORRY just double checked their shop and ship does not do Thailand although they do advertise shippoing to Thailand for other stuff. There must be other enterprising companies with the same facility

Shipping costs high ????

Wait until you see the import duty you will have to pay.

They wanted 20,000 Baht for $800 value of clothes from me.

Talked them down to 9000B and will never do it again.

I think what you're referring to is done by USA2ME...at least I will soon find out. They are great for mail and I am having a book shipped by them in two weeks. After that will try some software. They are located in Texas, and it is a real mailing address, not a post office box.

A couple years ago I had ram shipped to me in Thailand from OWC and the duty was very little, not even a concern.
