Dearest,

Being a Dutch International Business student in my final year the time has come for me to to take the opportunity of becoming an intern/junior assistant for at least 20 weeks to finalize my study, with the starting date of, preferably, early September; to be able to expand on my gained knowledge, to have a hands-on experience within a company and to contribute to the performance of such together with my new colleagues.

After studying for one year in Thailand at ABAC, Assumption University in Bangkok as an International Business student from the Netherlands I decided to extend my time abroad by becoming an intern. My first experience of being an intern was in a Thai well established International Trading office; Siam Cement Trading Co ltd. In which I analyzed the opportunities for the Business Recycle Division within Europe considering its expansion plans. The outcome of the market analyze and constructed new database of potential suppliers was presented to the board of Management and very positively received. They are also willing to provide you with a positive reference, my late department manager is mentioned as a referee on my CV. After this period I have come to the conclusion that I would like to establish my future career in Thailand.

I could be of assistance with any project as my theoretical knowledge is very broad from risk management to financial analyses to market expansion plans. In this stage I have not developed a particular field of interest yet, my own requirements for the internship are that it should be of a challenge; creativity, demanding an intensive work attitude and good communication skills.

As I have lived in Thailand for over a year and have worked, lived and socialized in this culture it has provided me with a great memorable experience. I am aware of the differences in culture, I recognize them and I respect them. I have experienced the so called ‘culture shock’ and this journey has made me fully aware of my own competencies. I can live and work independently, I am flexible and it is possible for me to adapt to my environment without losing my own identity. Also I enjoy contributing to an enthusiastic, well communicating intercultural team as a full team member.

Being eager to learn and take the next step in my career I am hoping that you do see an opportunity. I am living in Bangkok at this moment and I would be pleased to answer any of your questions or considerations during a personal meeting,

Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon,

Sincerely

Sanne Grispen
