Hi Guys, My Thai wife has finally obtained her ESOL 'Skills for Life' qualification and

is applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.

Form SET(M) states she needs to include her foreign national I.D. card.

She has been in the U.K for over 3 years now, does she need an I.D. card?

If she does how does she get one?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Section 10 of Form SET(M)says

Your identity card for foreign nationals if you have been issued with one since entering the UK. See Note 5.

Note 5 Identity cards for foreign nationals have been issued to foreign nationals from 25 November 2008 when

they have been given permission to remain in the UK. Unless reported lost or stolen, they should be enclosed with

any application for further permission to remain in the UK.

(my emphasis)

So, unless her last application was on or after 25/11/08 she wont have one.
