Dual Monitors: Use A Different Wallpaper On Each Desktop

Featured Replies

found a good piece of free software. just check it out.

For window XP

For Window Vista

thanks :)

I'll bite..

Unless I'm missing something, surely the purpose of dual monitor is to utilise the screen real estate, eliminating seeing the desktop wallpaper 99.9% of time.

I see you point, but this is not always true. I use my laptop connected to a 19" monitor. I usually only use the notebook screen for keeping my email open or many times, just the desktop.

my point to justify was: "The immediate issue that you will notice is that the wallpaper displays the same image on both screens. This is especially annoying when you have a laptop and a second monitor, each running at different resolutions, because the second screen will have a “squashed” version of the picture."

Indeed, I used to use a three monitor set up with a customised wallpaper that allowed a normal plain color to be displayed on most of the space but a contact list of telephone numbers on part of the background. Useful stuff thanks.
