Thank you, great flower - interesting that it grows to 1.2m plus - I will aim to get some seeds when this one turns. I found the one above growing wild at the side of a rice field, no shelter except for the long grass around it.

All my plant books are home, so I am trying to pull this one from memory, but I think its called Darunee in Thai.

Gloriosa Rothschildiana, it grows from tubers which you can dig up from the ground, if its growing wild. Its a fairly common plant (at least where I live) so as long as you are careful in digging it up, it should grow well. The vining part will die off if you dig it up, but it will eventually re-grow.
