Applying Schengen Visa Having A Thai Ed Visa

Does anyone knows if i can apply for a schengen visa through a consulate here in thailand if i have an education visa?

Im currently on a tourist visa but will be studying thai soon. On December this year, I'm planning to attend a friends wedding in Germany. Anyone has an idea whether I can apply in the German embassy here or do I need to go back to the Philippines -my country of residence.

You should apply in your country of residence; so if in Thailand with as a visitor you cannot apply in Thailand.

However, if there with a student visa then Thailand would be considered your country of residence; so you could apply there.

I think; hopefully someone else can confirm, or you could check with the German embassy.

Yeah I was told that they'll still ask for the proof of residency..and I havent reached that stage yet since I was just here for a couple of months.

Then you either need to wait until you have your student visa, and Thai residence, or return home and apply there.
