Renew USA Passport by Mail - Time frame and detail questions
Just did this. 35 days total. Embassy in Bangkok. CM consulate might be different. The trickier part is after the new passport arrived back in Bangkok. The embassy says that Thai Post sends an email with tracking number.when the package is picked up at the embassy. NO they don't. The embassy also doesn't send an email about that. You can get tracking number from the Thai Post site where you bought the envelope. However you'll need to check that everyday until it shows something. Also often you need to search twice as often it shows nothing on first try.
