Map Lookup Tool

Featured Replies

I seem to be having some trouble getting the correct coordinates, every time I input the coordinates into the GPS unit in my Dmax, it wants to send me about 2km of course.

I wonder if anyone can shed more light or maybe a trick or two into the best way of dealing with this.

Thanks for any help.

Which coordinate format are you using with the Dmax GPS? The Map Lookup Tool uses the decimal format.

  • Street Map is MORE accurate than the Satellite one. I have experienced that Satellite View is off by a few meters in several locations.

I've just tried this and it does not recognise Hua-Hin no matter how I spell it with or without the - ?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Yeah I just checked myself and Hua Hin isn't there no matter how you spell it. Sorry.

Although Pran Buri is and you'd have to pass Hua Hin to get there.

I dont mean to be boring or pedantic but what you are saying is that if you find yourself on a map of the world it will tell you your longtitude and latitude. That is all.

Your average mobile phone will tell you that either through GSM triangulation or GPS without navigating a global map. Am I missing something?

You are missing the fact that not everyone has a mobile phone not to mention 'an average mobile phone'
