NAKHON SAWAN - Investigators have identified 11 businessmen and senior local officials who allegedly paid a mamasan to arrange sexual encounters with a 13-year-old girl. Jampee Chaitrong, also known as Mae Lao (mamasan) Sri, remains at large, but investigators have seized her address book containing the names of clients, said Colonel Chatil Phrompaiboon, Provincial Police deputy commander. “These VIP clients will face charges relating to the procurement of an underage prostitute,” he said. Chatil said investigators suspected that Jampee operated a child-prostitution ring and were trying to identify other child victims. The case came to light on Tuesday after the girl’s guardian, Nipa Klinporn, filed a police complaint that alleged Vasinee Inchupong, the mother of the child’s 15-year-old boyfriend, had lured the teenager into the commercial-sex industry. Nipa alleged that Vasinee brokered a deal with Jampee to get a percentage of the girl’s earnings. The girl, Nipa and Vasinee live in Phayuha Khiri district, while Jampee allegedly runs her prostitution ring in Muang district. Under the alleged deal, Jampee would book clients and Vasinee was responsible for driving the girl to a love motel or other arranged places within Nakhon Sawan and nearby provinces. In her statement, Vasinee told police that she and the girl were paid Bt1,500 per client – inclusive of her percentage. She said she drove the girl to service more than 10 clients between Friday and Sunday and had not shared the money with the girl. Whenever I see that the cops have decided to bust such an operation, the cynic in me wonders whether the cops are just pissed at this one group 'cause the cops weren't getting their fair share of the take. I'm sure that it was done to take the attention away, from what is surely exploitation at the highest level. We all got suckered in didn't we, that's why we need to focus on this post, because that's were the problem is, it open doors for pedo's around the world. However, one set has a cultural context for this behaviour, and the other set comes to where the cultural context exists. I am obviously disgusted by both, but have even less respect for denial and hypocrisy. There is no doubt that a double-standard exists when it comes to punishing and reporting foreign abuse, and I have said that consistently on this forum. However, they did apprehend these VIPS, so let's see if they bring them to justice, or simply allow them to pay a "fine" and go about their merry way. It's all about their self-righteous need to condemn the perverts. We don't see any scandalized-sounding threads on here calling for children to be fed, properly educated, given health care, family environments, etc. I bet not one of the "string 'em up" types has ever given even $100 directly in support of a poor Thai child outside their families. I wish Thailand were free of both types, the pedophiles and the witch-hunters who imagine their hatred comes from some sort of caring, and good riddance to both. Whom he acquired at a local orphanage. Nothing ever hit the papers a large sum of money was paid to the girls uncle and the police and it all went away. No scandle except by word of mouth, no arrest, no deportation. Those we don't even hear about as norm, there is much more going on out there then any of us know about.
