Anybody know a place down in Pattaya/Jomtien, where you can enjoy psychedelic rock or space rock.

Are there any good concerts here in Thailand.

I guess the chances of Hawkwind making it to Pattaya are pretty small !

Where do you find out about good concerts ?

Any interesting sites ?

shit... you can't even find a bar band that knows 1 grateful dead song. they know all the crappy Eagles songs back and forth, but can't find the time to even learn a little 'Truckin'.

If your into some good house style music Koh Chang (lonely beach side) I saw Monsier Paris formerly of Dee lite & DJ mark Farina was on vacation & sat in for an hour. Other than that the concert scene is pretty beat up & burn't as the foreign artists need to obtain work permits & to make $30-$40.00 for preforming a nite are pretty rare. Once in a blue moon Rod Stewart or someone from the crypt blows through Thailand. Better chance in Bali at the 666 club for a good concert. Here a wash up Captain & Tanile type of Thai band is grroovy..........LOL.

My recommendation would be to make a few CD copies of 'Doremi Faso Latido' and carry them with you and bribe the bar staff to bang it on the CD music entertainment system while you chill-out with an ice-cold Chang and some freeze-dried Agaric mushrooms!
