For the past couiple of days all my torrents (in Utorrent) have been experiencing problems, and their tracker state shows as "connection closed by peer"

I have a TOT (2/512) account, and I was wondering if anybody else is having the same problem.

Yes maxnet has closed openbittorrent. I was half way through downloading and now cannot restart it. No problems with private trackers.

Thanks for the info, Sammy.

If TOT and TT&T have stopped allowing public bit torrents, I would expect to hear from more people.

Are we the only 2 people that have been affected by this?

Internet service is bad enough in Thailand as it is. If they aren't going to allow torrents, I don't plan to keep using the service.

Are you sure they are blocking torrent trackers? When TPB went down on the 24th(?), their trackers took a while to come back up (still not available to me). This caused open trackers to have insane increases users which I think has caused issues as I can only connect to a couple of trackers right now. This is on True. It would be a huge coincidence that TOT started blocking trackers on the same day The Pirate Bay was taken offline by the Swedes.

Thanks guys!

I was thinking the TOT was throttling down P2P bandwidth, but after reading your posts it seems that it's more to with Pirate Bay and public trackers in general.

I'll try DLing from some private trackers tonight to see how it goes and will post results tomorrow.

BTW, my TOT speeds have been garbage for ages. Is there actually a good, fast and dependable service available in this country?

I have found anything associated with piratebay almost impossible 4 to 10 kbps. The private tracker i am using i am downloading at an average 320kbps per torrent. I think there is a lot of throttling going on at the moment.

Another public tracker i used nearly drove me insane with the speed although had some 70 odd peers.

I am going to stick with the private trackers. Cheaper than ubc and the programs are only two days old not two years.

All public trackers get the message connection closed by peer on TOT lately. However there is a work around.Forum rule will forbid me to post a link but do a google for PAW.
