Suet For Dumplings

Featured Replies

I can make some good meat and vegetable stews in a ricemaker in thailand but I miss the dumplings. Anyone know where to get the dried suet to make them with in Bangkok? It should be easy for the central tops to import but they dont seem to.

I was missing suet too, just bought back 3kg from Australia, but would love to know if it can be purchased in Thailand.

Golden Syrup Dumplings and hot custard...yum

If you are near Udon Thani, you can find it here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Udonthani-t267645.html

If not, you could write or telephone the owner of the shop. Perhaps, he will ship some to you?

I bought slow cooker and make some great stews, mince (beef) liver & onions etc.

This recipe says to use margarine I find it better if you use butter and grate into flour, stick the butter in freezer first.

I have bought packets of suet from Pattaya, Khon Kaen and sell by dates were way out 07 ruined my mince and dumpling so now make my own.

Good luck. :)
