Hi you all. I have really neglected Thai visa, been away in a GREEN AND PLEASANT LAND :) , a civilized land where they let mass murders free for blowing up 300 air passangers for oil. well sorry Im losing the plot here. The point is after being out of LOS for a while, I come back and see some strange internert interferance by the Thai Police! Now i know if you visit certain sites, (Dont we all?) you get this page "Sorry closed by the Royal thai Police to protect National security etc, etc. I am now seeing this message on normal sites, a few times on Bangkok post site, once on the Thai weather site. A couple of times when visting a software site, just normal websites I'm using TT&T Lan. Now its Obvouse that the Police are using some software to monitor all traffic. Its also looks like it does not work very well. All in all its a worry, just who is sitting in a police office some place checking up on us all?? Hitlers men would be impressed. Well best regards and as ever Thai visa doing a great job here.

I actually got this message ( Closed by Royal Thai Police) when reading Australia's Sydney Morning Herald news website. It was blocking an Ad window (don't know what the Ad was). So the process most be automated by a software filter.

No one. This is your ISP not the police.

:) My bad...

But that is a strange rule, are proxies illegal in Thailand or is there actually a law against helping people circumvent the filters? Just asking politely :D

There is already a thread on the odd behaviour of the police block here http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Royal-Thai-P...ck-t290438.html

Please do not discuss the use of proxies to bypass the government restrictions. Proxies per-se are not illegal, but their use to bypass the restrictions is, therefore discussion of proxies is banned on TV.

EDIT Bonobo beat me to the proxy discussion, but still closed as there is already a thread on the police block.
